vol.47 City Worker with [Office worker Son Jieun]

People who work in the city, office worker Son Jieun

Q. What do you do currently?

A. I work in PR (media relations) at an IT startup.
My role involves actively communicating the company’s strengths and responding when issues arise.
I mainly write content to share company news and strengthen brand image, and I build relationships with the press and media.

Q. Do you have any personal principles when it comes to your work?

A. “Leave positive memories with partners and customers.”
It’s not just my own principle it’s one of the ways our company works.
Because my job is centered on communication, I see it as my role to share good energy and spread positive messages with the people I work with.
Also, work is less about doing things alone, and more about doing them well together which is harder, and more important.

Q. What do “work” and “city life” mean to you, Jieun?

A. I think the city shaped who I am as a working professional.
I was born and raised in a busy city, and I’ve been working for about nine years now.
Although I have a spontaneous, “P-type” personality, office life in the city pushes me to move and act efficiently.
In the end, work holds many meanings for me achievement, fulfillment, stress, and joy all at once.

Q. When do you say “wow” when you see a product?

A. When it matches my taste and looks good. It’s a fairly abstract answer, I know.
For example, when the color stands out, when there’s a “+1” detail that improves an inconvenience,
or when there’s a clever idea that genuinely enhances quality of life.
I say “wow” when I see something that’s a little different or simply better.

Q. Could you describe the RAWROW City Walker in one line?

A. A uniform for a PR professional commuting between Pangyo and Seoul.
